Hold Your Line. Chase Your Best.
Stand up paddle grip for training, racing and the sessions in between.
iTac2 Sports Grip Wax helps dragon boat paddlers maintain a secure, confident hold, even during long training sessions, intense races and wet or sweaty conditions.
Put Your Focus into the Next Stroke
SUP racing demands repeated strokes, quick hand changes and deliberate paddle placement. As the pace lifts, a slipping hand can interrupt the rhythm you’ve worked to build.
iTac2 Sports Grip Wax adds tack where your palms and fingers contact the handle and shaft. Fine-tune the amount in training to find a hold that feels secure while allowing you to release and reposition your hands comfortably.
Whether you’re working on your start, practising buoy turns or building distance, make your grip another familiar part of your race preparation.
From Training Blocks to Buoy Turns
Different sessions. Different demands. A grip routine you know.
Sprint and Start Practice
Fast starts put hand placement and repeated strokes in focus. Test your application during sprint sessions so you know how it feels when your stroke rate rises.
Distance and Race Preparation
Longer training paddles give you time to learn how your grip wears. Use those sessions to settle on your preferred strength and amount before race day.
Turns and Transitions
Changing sides and setting up a turn calls for hands that can move freely. Aim for enough tack to hold the paddle securely while keeping releases and repositioning comfortable.
Dial In Your Race-Day Grip
Find your preferred level of tack in training, then make it part of your preparation.

Stand-up-Paddle Grip FAQs
Get Set for Your Next Session
Which strength should I use for SUP racing?
Extra Strength offers stronger tack and is recommended in our product guidance for water sports. Regular gives a lighter feel. Try your preferred option in training, checking both your hold and your ability to switch hands at pace.
Will extra tack make changing sides harder?
Too much wax can feel overly sticky. Start with a thin layer and check that you can release the handle and reposition on the shaft comfortably. Reduce your application if it gets in the way of your technique.
Does iTac2 work in wet conditions?
Extra Strength has water-resistant properties suited to water sports. Apply it to clean, dry hands before entering the water. Wear time varies with use and conditions, so get familiar with how it feels over your usual training distance.
How long before a race should I apply it?
Apply it during your normal preparation, with time to test your hold and hand changes before the start. Follow the product directions and use the routine you’ve already practised in training.
Is it permitted at SUP events?
Check the rules for your event and ask the organiser if you’re unsure. Product restrictions can vary, so confirm before including a grip aid in your race setup.
Is it useful for recreational paddling too?
Yes. The same hand application can add tack for casual outings and weekend paddles. Start with a small amount and find a level that feels comfortable for you.
